It is with pride that we emphasize how some of the Esplanade's employees have spent their entire working life with us. Their rich and invaluable professional experience and skills, knowledge, and motivation are cheerfully passed down to the younger generation employees daily. Some such employees are Ivan Sneler, Croatia's charming first sommelier, Ana Grgic, our young Chef de Cuisine who initiated her career when her then superior advised her to undertake an internship in the kitchen; there's also Ivica Krizmanic, who in his 25-year career at the Esplanade held every position from student job as doorman, to receptionist and to the hotel’s general manager, a position he has now held for three years. There is also the legend of the Banquet Department Josip Friscic, who for over 30 years has trained new generations of waiters, and through his enthusiasm and positive energy won over numerous clients who have hosted their events and weddings at the hotel. There are many similar stories and they all represent the Esplanade's striving for excellence in service, with everyone contributing in their respective segment.
