Since opening its doors to guests back in 1925, the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel has been a synonym for the highest standard of service. After having reopened all the segments of its business in May this year, it has also been carrying out strict hygiene and safety measures to further protect the health of guests and hotel staff, implementing the recommendations of the Croatian Public Health Institute. "Posters with guidelines on proper behaviour, frequent and thorough washing and disinfecting of hands, premises, and surfaces, keeping social distance, distance between tables, ventilating of premises, obligation of glove and mask wearing for the staff have become our daily routine," said the Hotel's General Manager Ivica Max Krizmanić, adding: "We strive to ensure guests’ comfort during their stay and provide them with supreme service, while keeping up with state-of-the-art technology, thus enabling contactless download of menus and daily newspapers to smartphones, and through our mobile app, simple room service orders and download of smart TV remote control. We also offer contactless payment at the reception, which is now furnished with special partitions. Our Health Club and limo service implement the upmost hygienic standards, and rooms are thoroughly cleaned after guest departure and placed in 48-hour isolation. The hotel has always been known for its highest degree of dedication to detail, and guests can feel truly safe at our hotel.”

All public spaces and touchable surfaces are disinfected thoroughly and frequently during the day and night.
In order to increase protection, exceptionally during this specific situation, it is recommended that guests open the doors themselves
To protect you and our staff, it is recommended that you park your personal vehicle yourself. Car keys that are handed over to our doorman are being disinfected and stored in safe conditions until you need them again. Parking is HRK 150 (20€) per day
in the outdoor parking lot and HRK 250 (30€)
per day for parking in the garage.
At the Concierge and Reception desks, a barrier has been set up to provide protection for staff and guests. Additionally, reception staff works with protective gloves, and when needed, protective masks as well. Before and after each guest, the Reception staff thoroughly disinfects their hands, tables, partitions, handrails, and other touchable surfaces. We kindly ask you to keep your stay at the Reception area to a minimum
to prevent the transmission and potential spread of virus.
We suggest that you avoid using the elevators and instead use the stairs.
Only one person at a time is allowed to use the elevator. Several people can use the elevator at the same time if they are family members or guests who share the same accommodation unit. We kindly ask you disinfect your hands when entering and exiting the elevator.
CLEANING OF ROOMS AND SUITES
The Hotel maintains the highest standards of hygiene, so the entire room and all surfaces are thoroughly disinfected during cleaning. After a guest's stay, the room is placed into 'isolation' for minimum 48 hours
– first it is aerated, then thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, and then aerated again for guests’ health and safety.
SERVICE IN RESTAURANTS AND AT THE BAR
Food & Beverage staff wear protective gloves and masks in contact with guests and respect the highest hygiene standards and recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health
, when handling food and serving. Guests are kindly asked to disinfect their hands when entering Food & Beverage outlets. Cutlery is brought and placed on the table when guests are seated.
